Founder & CEO
Richard grew up in South Africa and the UK. Passionate about the power of sport, education, people and positive social change, Richard has over ten years’ experience working in development and with African stakeholders, establishing and shaping BPF's UK and Malawi entities. Richard is also a Trustee on BPF Malawi's Board.
Executive Director (BPF Malawi NGO)
An inclusive education specialist and disability rights activist, Nohara is passionate about uplifting the lives of all children in Malawi through education and innovative models of life skills development. He brings with him to BPF Malawi's team vast experience in inclusive education, program management and teams & talent management.
Sports Development Officer (BPF Malawi NGO)
Having helped to facilitate BPF's programs in Lilongwe since 2011, Wordsworth managed a pilot program in 2016 and 2017 before joining the NGO in a full-time capacity in 2018. In his development role, Wordsworth helps to lead a youth sports and life skills program. He also founded one of Lilongwe’s rugby clubs, the ‘Bhubesi Lions’, and is the Chairman for Lilongwe Rural Netball Committee.
Programs Assistant
Lawrent is passionate about youth development in Malawi. With proven experience, knowledge and skills in data entry and management, Lawrent is the data hub for BPF Malawi's work. Lawrent is also developing his skills in media and communication which is helping the NGO's team to evidence and showcase programs and projects.

A Malawian leader and multifaceted professional, Justin navigates diverse roles as Chair at BPF Malawi and President of Malawi Rugby Union. With a B-Tech in Industrial Engineering and a MBA in International Business, Justin spearheads several companies, mentors rugby players and fosters educational excellence.

Chipo is a qualified accountant with over twenty years of professional experience in auditing, financial management and banking, taxation, accounting and advisory services. Chipo worked for KPMG Malawi as a manager after spending fifteen years in the UK where she worked for different organisations and as a tax consultant.

Isaac is an accomplished professional engineer with over 25 years experience working for several multinationals in the industry, focusing on national development. He is also the Secretary General for Malawi Netball. Isaac has specific interests in gender equality and empowerment.

After a 30 year career in the financial sector encompassing global and European senior leadership positions at Barclays, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley, Emma is now focused on a small portfolio of company directorships and charitable/voluntary work. Emma is particularly interested in education and wellbeing through sport, combining school governor positions in the UK with her work for BPF.

Anton grew up in Cape Town and has recently retired from Abbott where he was a Global Operations head, based in Basel, Switzerland. Prior to this, Anton worked for GlaxoSmithKline for 30 years in South Africa and the UK, in roles focusing on manufacturing, supply chain and operations. Anton - who now lives in the UK with his wife, Hayley, with whom he has two daughters - is passionate about rugby, cricket and motor racing. He has climbed Kilimanjaro for charity and completed an Atlantic crossing on a sailing vessel.

Grant was born and raised in South Africa. Following an early career in corporate web and graphic design, he started Rugbydump in 2006 and quickly built it to become one of the most visited rugby websites globally. He has worked with Bhubesi Pride Foundation since inception and continues to help with awareness and social media strategy.

Nick Robson has a long background in sports management and leadership, from coaching rugby to managerial roles within the UK military. A military air traffic controller with over 30 years’ experience, he brings a keen eye on governance processes, functional risk management and assurance oversight within both charities and on the front line. His passion is the wider positive impact of sport from elite level to grass roots; he also continues to assist the RAF Sports Federation and the RAF’s sports charity to drive forward wider participation levels.
