Clubs for Development (C4D)

Strengthening BPF Malawi's youth sports club structure to enable learning and development opportunities for players

BPF Malawi’s staff gathered eight coaches – selected through an interview process – for coach orientation and training ahead of the start of a new initiative: Clubs for Development (C4D).

Initially involving 100 young people (boys and girls aged 11-25) and with plans to grow and expand, the program sees coaches maximising the use of BPF Malawi’s sports and education facility to help develop young people through sport (rugby and netball) and supplementary educational themes, subjects and content from curriculums the team will adapt and improve over time.

During the orientation, coaches received training on the NGO’s structure and vision, the C4D program scope and goals, safeguarding, finance, contracts, player registrations and individual development plans.
