Ian – BPF Malawi’s media intern

As a dedicated final-year student at Mzuzu University, Ian embarked on an enriching experience as an intern with Bhubesi Pride Foundation (BPF). Throughout the internship, Ian gained invaluable insights and skills that have significantly shaped his personal and professional development.

During his time at BPF, Ian honed his abilities in graphic design, writing and internal communication. While he was previously able to improve these skills independently, he often felt a lack of exposure to showcase his talents in a structured environment. His internship at BPF provided him with the platform he needed to demonstrate his capabilities and receive recognition for his contributions.

Ian took on various responsibilities which enabled him to apply his skills practically. He designed eye-catching posters and flyers and drafted the NGO’s recently published impact report. Additionally, he engaged in photography, basic video editing and story writing – each task enhancing his creative abilities and confidence.

What made his experience truly unforgettable was the opportunity to meet and work with BPF Malawi’s amazing team.
