Sponsor a community project in Malawi

In 2018, Bhubesi Pride Foundation took the bold step to purchase a plot of land in rural Lilongwe, Malawi, and begin the construction of its masterplan: a youth sports and education facility. Today, and alongside the incredible support of our partners over the last seven years, BPF’s masterplan is all but complete. However, we need to refine some aspects of the community centre and improve a few of its functions.

See below a list of our top priorities at BPF Malawi’s centre, with a guide fundraising target for each project:

Resurface the netball courts

• Help resurface our two netball courts to ensure safe play for participants and enable additional external engagement for sustainable community programs
• Guide fundraising target: £30,000

NGO vehicles

• Support reliable transport for staff and participants – help us secure fit-for-purpose [second-hand] vehicles to reduce costs (associated with maintaining old vehicles) and improve community access
• Guide fundraising target: £55,000 for a Toyota Coaster bus (or similar) and £25,000 for a Toyota Hilux (or similar)

Fitting out the upper floor of the clubhouse

• Help us create dedicated office and meeting spaces, also enabling income-generating opportunities at our community centre
• Guide fundraising target: £20,000

Build a laundry facility

• Help us build a proper laundry facility to ease staff workload and ensure clean, hygienic kit for our community program participants
• Guide fundraising target: £10,000
